8. Governance: Cohesion and Context

Overview

This subproject addresses two key challenges in continuing vocational education and training and combines therefore two perspectives via an integrated governance approach: 1) an individual approach (cohesion), using problem centered interviews to analyze why individuals decide to participate and how they make use of work-related learning opportunities; 2) a stakeholder approach (context), using expert interviews to analyze how different stakeholders are involved in shaping and steering the continuing education system with their respective interests. The project has been completed. Its findings are important for providing the essential insights into both individual and systemic dynamics.
